With my current role I do see the need for more effective community leader to be ambassadors to champion best practices and that’s the reason I would like to explore this community leadership.
What, in your view, is the most significant issue/opportunity facing our community? Why?
The most significant issue facing our region is unemployment. The unemployment rate in Niagara is significantly above the national average. Unemployment has negative impacts on our community. Government agencies and many private companies have been with varying degrees of success. Niagara region and its community leaders must take a widespread approach to continue to support and develop existing public and private sector organizations that are dedicated to achieving this goal.
