Micro Entrepreneurial Initiative

This project looked at creative ways to help people who do not have access to traditional employment or self-employment financing to access the money needed to start micro businesses.

Project Gordon

The Project Gordon team conducted a survey of young people in the Niagara Region to ascertain their reasons for leaving Niagara after graduation and to identify a list of factors that Niagara youth feel are important for building and sustaining a vibrant and healthy community.

Volunteer Niagara

Responding to the growing need for volunteers in our communities, the team developed a six minute DVD and toolkit (including five days of lesson plans for teachers) that is directed to youth focusing on the impact volunteering can have on career choice and personal development.

Weaving Strengths

An exceptionally well attended forum was coordinated to identify common issues and explore unique solutions. The subsequent report received wide circulation across the region.
