A Message from Leadership Niagara’s Board Chair

In June of this year, Leadership Niagara celebrated the graduation of its 15th program cohort, bringing the total number of program graduates to over 400. As we look to the future, the Leadership Niagara board has started the process of developing its next Strategic Plan. While we complete this task, and emerge from the pandemic of the past few years the Board has decided to pause the Accelerate Civic Leadership (ACL) program for the 2022/2023 term. This pause will allow our volunteers to effectively evaluate the innovations we have implemented since 2020, as well as reviewing the content of the program and its relevance to the needs of our community.

At this time we are also bidding farewell to our Executive Director, Stephanie Lakeit-Hall, who has moved on from Leadership Niagara to pursue other opportunities. Stephanie helped the organization successfully navigate the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic introduced, and we are grateful for her hard work and dedication. Leadership Niagara is committed to providing the best possible experience for our participants and partners, and as such, Leadership Niagara’s Board of Directors we are proceeding with the recruitment and onboarding of a new Executive Director, to align with the completion of the new strategic plan. In the interim, communications with Leadership Niagara can continue through the following email info@leadershipniagara.ca

The Leadership Niagara Board of Directors and Program Advisory Committee (PAC) remain highly engaged and committed to delivering another amazing program in the 2023/2024 term. We are grateful to our past sponsors, community partners, and program alumni for their support and engagement, and for the continued support of Leadership Niagara from across our community. We look forward to continuing our many partnerships and commitment to enhancing community leadership in Niagara in the coming years.
