2022 ACL+ Guest Speaker Alison Braithwaite

Alison Braithwaite will be a guest speaker for the Accelerate Civic Leadership+ Learning Day 3a: Navigating and Influencing Community Systems Transformation. She will be speaking about ‘Exploring Systems.’

Alison has a long history with Leadership Niagara. She was on the Board of Directors from 2008 to 2015. Then joined the PAC for 4 years starting in 2016.

Alison Braithwaite has worked in both the public and private sectors focused on environmental performance and sustainability. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Waterloo researching why people leave the Canadian corporate workplace to start businesses oriented to positive social or environmental change. Alison is also the author of the book ‘In Her Own Words: How to move from surviving to thriving.‘ If she were to retitle it today, she would call it ‘My complete unravelling and the women who saw me through it.’
