Leadership Niagara hires new Executive Director

St. Catharines, Monday, April 24 – The Board of Directors of Leadership Niagara is pleased to announce the hiring of Terry Dow, as the organization’s new Executive Director, effective Monday, April 24.

Terry joins the organization from Tourism Partnership of Niagara where she held an interim position of Manager of Corporate Services. Previous to that, Terry was the Executive Director of the Simcoe & District Chamber of Commerce as well as held senior management roles in the tourism industry in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario.

“Terry is joining Leadership Niagara at an important time for the organization,” said David Veres, Board Chair. “Our Board has just approved a new strategic plan and after a one-year hiatus, we are preparing to relaunch the Accelerate Civic Leadership Program this fall.”

“I am thrilled to join the team at Leadership Niagara and look forward to working with the Board of Directors and PAC committee to move the new strategic plan forward,” said Dow.

Dow has a strong background in non-profit organizational management and has a proven track record of successfully interacting with community associations, government officials, tourism industry stakeholders and the business community in Ontario and western Canada.

Leadership Niagara is a non-profit organization that began in 2007, created by local leaders in response to a distinct need to identify, nurture and grow future leaders within each sector of our community. With more than 15 years of work, Leadership Niagara continues to be dedicated to inspiring civic action and leadership through world-class leadership programs, ushering in the next generation of change-makers and community influencers.
