Created in 2007 by local leaders in response to a distinct need to identify, nurture and grow future leaders within each sector of our community. With over two decades of work, Leadership Niagara continues its dedication to inspiring community leadership through research-based leadership programs.
Our mission is to nurture and shape tomorrow’s leaders, who become part of a growing, diverse network of dedicated individuals, tackling the most pressing challenges in our community with effective solutions. We address complex community issues by inspiring community-minded leaders to drive positive change.
The Community Leadership Development Program is dedicated to fostering leadership and driving positive change within the communities that make up Niagara.
If you are a not-for-profit group, charity, or service club in Niagara, you are eligible for free assistance with a project through Leadership Niagara’s community projects.

I have been in a leadership role with the Niagara Region for six years, but have recently moved to a new team. Professional Development is an important aspect of our careers. Leadership Niagara has given me new tools to develop my leadership style to grow within my new team.

My interest in taking this program was to educate myself on learning crucial skills like communication, conflict resolution and self awareness. Today’s workshop really enhanced my self awareness and emotional intelligence that I really didn’t realize that I was dismissing. This course I believe, will make me become a better leader and version of myself.
