Accelerate Community Leadership

Effective February 25th, 2019, Leadership Niagara’s Community Leadership Program has updated its name to Accelerate Civic Leadership (ACL).

Founded in 2007, Accelerate Civic Leadership (formerly the Community Leadership Program) is our flagship program. As the premier leadership experience in the Niagara region, the program equally builds employee leadership presence in the workplace, while also creating community-minded leaders ready to tackle our communities’ greatest challenges.

Accelerate Civic Leadership focuses on increasing the civic readiness of mid-career professionals in Niagara, across diverse sectors, to demonstrate community leadership.

Over an immersive 9-month leadership experience (September to the following May), participants familiarize themselves with some of the most important issues facing our communities in Niagara, connect with and learn from the community’s most dynamic leaders, and build and strengthen their leadership capacity through face-to-face learning and a team-based community action project.
