Dominic Ventresca is currently an Age-Friendly Community Advocate in the Niagara region. He is the Chair for the Age-Friendly Niagara Council, and a member of St Catharines Older Adult Advisory Committee. Dominic is a Director on the Board of the Ontario Association of Councils on Aging and the Co-Chair of the Family Council for LTC home.
For over approx. 40 years, he was a Person-Centred Health Care Advocate and, most recently, served on the Board of Directors of the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network (HNHB LHIN). Dominic Ventresca was the former Director of Seniors Services for the Regional Municipality of Niagara, which was responsible for overseeing the management of eight long-term care homes, a dementia care assessment centre, ten adult day programs and numerous other community programs and assisted living programs. He sat on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Association of Non-Profit Homes and Services for Seniors and was a Behavioural Supports Ontario (BSO) Sponsor for the HNHB LHIN.
Dominic Ventresca has a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Gerontology from the University of Toronto and a Homes for the Aged Management Certificate from McMaster University.
