Submit a Community Project

ARE YOU A NOT FOR PROFIT GROUP OR SERVICE CLUB IN NIAGARA THAT NEEDS ASSISTANCE WITH A SPECIFIC COMMUNITY PROJECT?

Leadership Niagara is now accepting applications for community projects from local non-profits, charities and community organizations in Niagara for the 2024-25 Community Leadership Development Program (CLDP).

WHAT AREAS IS LN LOOKING AT WHEN SELECTING COMMUNITY PROJECTS?

Each year, Leadership Niagara receives applications from numerous community groups with a wide range of current and relevant needs and challenges.  These may include support for review of your business plan, marketing plans, strategic plans, engagement plan or communication plans, etc.

The key is that the project is a collaboration between your organization and the 2024-25 CLDP participants and be substantially completed within a 6-to-8-month period of time.

If selected, your organization could receive support from Community Leadership Development participants who will work with you on a community project of your choice starting November 2024.

2024-25 Community Project Areas of Focus

Our program participants represent a wide range of organizations in Niagara and come with a variety of skills.

They are aspiring leaders who care about their community.  Working collaboratively with your organization, our project teams can assist your organization in working through a challenge or project.  Your organization will collaborate with a network of professionals who will:

  • Bring fresh outlooks to your team

  • Apply expertise from diverse professional backgrounds

Our Community Leadership Development participants work with Niagara-focused non-profit organizations like yours to:

  • Collaborate
  • Identify
  • Develop, and
  • Execute critical projects.

The purpose of these community projects is two-fold. Firstly, we look to create results that are tangible and generate positive ripples throughout the Niagara Region.

Secondly, we seek to build meaningful relationships between Leadership Niagara, the non-profits and community groups in our region, and our program participants.

Leadership Niagara also is seeking out community projects that will assist in the participants’ development in:

  • Comprehension of systems thinking – specifically as it applies to the not-for-profit sector;
  • Appreciation of the issues faced locally by the diversity of individuals in their community;
  • Understanding of how their leadership can challenge the process;
  • Building skills around collaborating with a variety of other leaders.
