JoAnne Krick, Director of Grants and Community Initiatives, has been with the Niagara Community Foundation for nearly 14 years.

She was born and raised in Niagara Falls. Attended A.N. Myer Secondary School and graduated from Brock University in 1999 with a BA in Sociology. She immediately began volunteering at the Niagara Falls women’s shelter, Nova House and was employed by Women’s Place of South Niagara for nearly 10 years.

In addition to her 20 plus years working in the nonprofit sector, JoAnne has committed herself to volunteerism. She has been an active member, for 18 years, with the Zonta Club of Niagara Falls who strive to advance the status of women, locally and around the world. She is a former Rotarian and member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Niagara.

JoAnne is a Leadership Niagara alumni, class of 2009! She recently completed the Nonprofit and Voluntary Management Certificate through distance learning at Ryerson University and the Indigenous Canada Certificate offered by the University of Alberta.

She is married with two daughters in grades 9 and 12.
